It’s time
for Spring cleaning!!! We will be having a Recycling Drive on Friday,
April 12th, 2013 to collect HI5 cans and bottles. Proceeds
from this drive will benefit the Friends of Niu Valley. This fundraiser
will also help our students learn about recycling and protecting
the environment.
For this recycling
drive we will be taking HI5 aluminum cans (can be crushed), plastic
(2-liter bottles, too), and glass bottles. If possible, please help
us by sorting your recyclables (aluminum, plastic, glass) and also
removing caps from plastic bottles.
In order to
make this a success we need MANPOWER from those of you who can lend
a hand to help collect and sort the recycling materials on the morning
of Friday, April 5th. The most help will be needed between
7:15 am - 8:00 am during the drop-off period. Please kokua
and spare a little bit of time to make a big difference.
A reminder
notice will be sent home before Friday, April 5th with drop-off
procedures and details. We appreciate your kokua and concern for
a cleaner Hawaii. Until then, keep on collecting!!!
If you can
volunteer or have any questions please call Roz Chun @ 728-4934
or e-mail at rchun@hawaii.rr.com.

Mahalo
to all of you who stopped by and dropped off your recyclables on
this schoolyear's first semester recycling drive on Friday, September
28, 2012. An especially big mahalo to the volunteers who helped
collect and sort the recycling materials. We truly appreciate your
time and energy!
